They are experiencing a moment in time just like our land experienced in 1775, when we took on an aggressor. Let our friends and those who wish us ill take note, the United States has an obligation to its citizens and the people of the world to never let those who would destroy freedom dictate the future course of life on this planet. There are no words to express the extraordinary strength and character of this breed of people we call American. Freedom and the dignity of the individual have been more available and assured here than any place on Earth. The price for this freedom at times has been high, but we have never been unwilling to pay that price. Cutting Russia's government off financially through sanctions is not enough, so we must push forward and advance against them. Meeting this mission of preserving the peace, which is a responsibility peculiar to our country, we cannot shrug off our responsibility to maintain strength. As free men and women, I ask that you answer the call that falls to you, to pick it up and help share our vision of humanity with the world, and to support the Ukrainian people in their struggle against the aggressor. We must realize that no arsenal in the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is something our adversaries do not have. It is a something that we as Americans do have. Let that be a lesson to those who prey upon their neighbors. Peace is the highest aspiration of the American people.
